During my secondary schooling in high school I remember several different levels of the Bloom's Taxonomy. The one that stands out the most in my mind is knowledge or remembering. Majority of the assignments were based on notes of information that I would have to study and memorize. We were required to recall the information on tests that were multiple choice and short answer most of the time. I do remember doing some assignments that were in other levels of the Bloom's taxonomy that were Incorporated through group projects. I'm not positive why this was so, but I would guess that it is related to the change in education. Education has changed to incorporate more higher level thinking today. Time may have been an issue with this as well, maybe it was due to the amount of information that had to be presented and assessed in the short amount of time that was spent in each of the classes.
During my post secondary education in college I remember a combination of the levels used more than in high school. In the beginning of my college education I do recall a lot of experiences with remembering and understanding. Later in my education and today I think that the level has risen and the higher levels are used to learn, through analyzing and evaluating. Maybe the higher levels are used now because all of the basic skills and information are covered. This allows for the learning to change and move to the next level. These higher level experiences have made a greater impact on the information that I remember and the experiences are more meaningful.

Why should we integrate technology into the curriculum?
Technology is a major part of the world we live in. It is important as educators to integrate technology into the classroom to prepare our students for the real world. Technology serves many purposes such as, to use as presentation tool, to conduct research, or even to work with others on group projects. The use of technology in the classroom to teach is a great motivational technique. To some students this may make learning seem fun and inviting. It isn't only fun for the students, but very useful for the teacher as well. The use of different tools allow teachers to prepare and change the normal routine. Technology reaches out to different learning styles and provides visuals. Students can use technology and are actively learning which is a great way for them to retain information. As teachers we are learning and always searching for the new and best practices. It is important that we change and use the technology that is useful and current. Integrating technology into the curriculum whenever possible seems to be beneficial to the students and teachers.
